Minutes – February 5, 2008

 

I.       The meeting was called to order by Andy Biederman at 7:30 pm at the Highlands Fire Station Training Room. 

II.     Members present were Andy Biederman, Bob Moore, and Rita Lumos.

III.    A motion by Moore, seconded by Biederman to approve the minutes of the January 3, 2008 minutes was approved unanimously.

IV.   Two property owners presented plans for approval.  The actions were as follows:

A.               Joseph Alt presented plans for a 2492 sq. ft. residence on Lot 19, Block Q, 21881 Clemens.  The siding will be “Gray Mist” stucco and the roof will be “Onyx Black” composition roofing.  The plans were approved and a fee of $500 was paid by check number 5571.

B.               Tim Crowe presented plans for an 1800 sq. ft. detached garage on Lot 4, Block C, 2350 Cartwright Road.  Mr. Crowe presented proof that a variance had been granted by Storey County for a reduced rear setback for the building.  The lot is deep and narrow and backs up to a ten acre lot in the Highlands Ranches, so a setback of 20’ rather than 40’ was approved.  The building will be T1 cedar siding and the roof will be green composition to match the existing house.  The plans were approved and a fee of $75 was paid by check number 2946.

V.     There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 8:15 pm.
